There has been a lot of conversation lately in the cross stitch world surrounding AI, artwork, and design creation, and I wanted to take a moment to speak honestly and openly with all of you. ❤️
At Anabella’s, every cross stitch design and chart is still thoughtfully created by hand. My daughter and I spend countless hours designing artwork using Adobe Photoshop, PC Stitch, and professional cross stitch software to carefully create each chart, select colors, refine symbols, and prepare patterns for stitching.
We do not use AI to generate our cross stitch charts.
Like many small businesses, we have explored using AI-assisted tools in some areas of marketing — primarily for helping create promotional mockups, styled cover photos, backgrounds, and visual layouts for social media and advertising. These tools simply help us present our products beautifully and save time on the marketing side of running a small business.
The heart of our business remains creativity, artistry, and love for this community.
I completely understand that AI can feel uncomfortable or controversial for some people, especially artists and designers who have invested years developing their skills. Those feelings are valid, and I think these conversations are important to have with honesty and respect.
For us, technology will never replace the creativity, experience, personal storytelling, and hand-crafted design work that go into what we create at Anabella’s.
