Cottage Keepsakes™: Where the Heart of the Home Lives

There are certain places that stay with us forever.

For me, it has always been the kitchen.

As a child, it was where I watched familiar hands at work — rolling dough, stirring pots, setting ingredients out on worn countertops. It was where stories were told without anyone even realizing they were being told. Where laughter mixed with the smell of something baking in the oven, or Sunday gravy simmering on the stove. Where love always felt steady and safe.

As I grew through my adolescent and teenage years, kitchens continued to be the backdrop of life — at my grandma’s house, around my aunt’s table, in familiar chairs pulled close while something homemade was passed around. Even then, it wasn’t really about the food.

It was about togetherness.

As a young adult, and later as a mother, that truth only deepened.

Our own kitchen became — and remains — the heart of our home.

It’s where we gather after long days.
Where laughter spills out freely.
Where tears are wiped away.
Where crafts spread across the table.
Where traditions quietly take root, simply because we are there together.

The kitchen is where life happens.

Whether it’s a log home, a cozy cottage, a farmhouse, or a rustic retreat — home isn’t defined by a style or a structure. Home is wherever you are in this season of life. It’s the place where memories are created day by day, often without us even realizing it.

That truth is what inspired Cottage Keepsakes™.

Cottage Keepsakes is my way of honoring the everyday moments that shape us — handwritten recipes, well-loved kitchens, familiar routines, and the simple beauty of a home that’s lived in. It’s about slowing down, creating with intention, and preserving the feelings tied to the places and moments that matter the most.

The very first Cottage Keepsakes collection is in the works and is being created with with winter in mind — those quieter days when the oven warms the house, recipes are pulled from memory, and the kitchen once again becomes the gathering place.

These designs aren’t meant to sit unused on a hard drive. They’re meant to be printed, written on, shared, framed, and woven into everyday life — just like the memories that inspired them.

Our first Collection will be released very soon, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
