Plum Street Samplers Christmas in July Cross Stitch Pattern ~ New Cross Stitch ~ Summer Cross Stitch

Like pumpkin and spice, Christmas and July just go together! This patriotic design is a nod to our freedom as an American and the freedom offered to us in Christ. The verse reads: “God bless this land from hill to sea, Christ be the gift to set us free.” Alternatively, you could leave off the verse and stitch an extra star/snowflake/pinwheel in place of the word “sea.” Mary Todd seems to be enjoying her carriage/sleigh ride.

Fabric used: 36 ct. Saltbush by Fox and Rabbit (distributed by Hoffman Dist. Co.) (My dye lot is fairly close to DMC 3782 if you need a substitution.)
Threads used: Classic Colorworks Used Brick*, Sea Oats, Jolly Holly, and Deep Fennel*; Weeks Dye Works Mascara, Charcoal, Artichoke, Pelican Gray, and Whitewash; DMC 353, 355, 822, 936*, 3830, 3809, and 3857.
