Plum Street Samplers This Is The Day Cross Stitch Pattern

One of my favorite Scripture verses is Psalm 118:24, which reads “This is the day which The LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” This design features mountain goats (one is leaping over the potted plant), a butterfly, bees, and a black bird with very tall legs! I had a lot of fun using ultra-bright threads for the sun, capturing the joy I hope this verse gives to you. And if you aren’t fond of stitching words, this design would be just as happy without the verse – although I’d love to suggest you at least write it on the back of the framed piece if you choose to frame it! J (The verse would also make a fun pinkeep for giving to someone who is in a sad season; we all have those!)

Threads used: DMC in 676, 731, 741, 758, 725, 3012, 352, 3859, 3787, 3779, and Ecru; Weeks Dye Works in Bluecoat Red and Grits; Classic Colorworks in Crab Cakes, Mint Julep, Rosy Glow, Hickory Sticks, and Cherry Cobbler.
